Life in General.

Today was a great day.

Over the weekend John's parents came up for a overnight to see the new kitchen and catch up with our lives. I made a wonderful, mouth watering Beef Bourguignon, Caesar salad and sourdough toast. But we finished off dinner with homemade Creme Burlee. The flavors were outrageous and full of life. The beef just melted into your mouth. Pared with the Caesar, bread and wine it was so tasty. The creme burlee was so delicious. The combination for eggs, heavy creme, sugar and caramelized burnt sugar on top was heavenly. John's parent i knew were very impressed with my cooking. His mother kept telling me i should go to culinary school and make a career out of it. After dinner we watched the movie/slide show of our time in Australia. They both enjoyed it and made them laugh. We than both said our good nights and went to sleep.

This morning John and I went shopping today instead of watching super bowl.(We both don't follow the match. LOL) We headed to downtown Seattle which no one was really down there. We stopped at Nordstroms for new shoes for John. He got a great pair for work. Old Navy for me. I got some great clothing there. Express for me again.(Got a Fabulous coat there) Than to the Levi's store for John to get him some black Levi's. The look great on him. Than to Gamestop to get me a game for the PS3 that i wanted.

After shopping John suggested that we go see a movie. Single man is a great movie that you can relate too in so many way. I believe everyone needs to see it. After the movie we came home with our bounties from the day. I played my new game and John worked on the dishwasher. At dinner time, we enjoyed our company and watched another classic movie with our schnauzers babies.

I loved this day. I love spending time with my family! I did not want this day to end!

how I met papi.

I met John about 14 month ago, over the Internet on a site called gay.com. He was in the portland chat room and i was looking for someone to date. We talked over about a year before we really met. I had rugby games in Seattle and asked him many times if he wants to come watch me play. He was going to come to one in Bremerton but something came up. So we waited and it was almost the end of summer right before everyone goes back to school, unless you are a college student. John called me and told me he was going to visit his parent, but really want to meet me. We arranged a time and meeting place. So i always met someone i do not know in a public place, that way i don't get hurt or killed. Anyways, we met at Pioneer Courthouse Square in Portland. As soon as i saw him in person i knew that i want to do many things with him. We were both hungry and John loves mexican food, so we went to Mayas Tacqueria for dinner. After dinner and talking with each other, we began to walk around the Pearl District and came to the Jamison Square. There we sat, watchin the children play in the fountain. We sat next to eachother really close. I kept looking into his green eyes, smiling, handsome, sexy. I wanted to do many things to him, but i knew that i had to be good. John turned to me and asked, "Is this the part where i kiss you?" My eyes lit up and i closed my eyes and leaned in. When our lips met, heaven, my body melted, i felt wonderful(i still get that way) There was something about John that i knew was different. As we were kissing, i felt like we were being watched. We pulled away and i turned to see one of my parents from school waving me down yelling, "I thought that was over there!!" i quickly jumped up and told here that this was john and we are on a date. Thank god her son was in the fountain playing. After that john took me home where i made out with him in his car. I asked him what he was doing tomorrow. He was going back to Seattle. "Would you like to get together and do breakfast", is what i asked him. "I'll pick you up" We had breakfast, made out a bit before taking me home, and that is when i know i liked john. But it was about our 5 date in Seattle is when i fell in love with him and wanted to make things work with him.

That is my story of John and I meeting...

I fell i love...

With a man.
A man that is caring, smart, sexy, funny, geeky, loving, handsome.
A man that has been there for me.
A man that has shown me parts of the world.
A man that is opening up his world for me.
A man that loves me.
A man that is worth everything.
A man that puts up with all my craziness, love, silly, dancing.
A man that wants to make me an honest man.
A man that i love.
A man that i want to be his man.
A man that one day i hope turns into my hus-bear.

I love you Papi Bear.

I honestly can not tell you what the future holds, but i can give you my world, my thoughts, my love, my care. my warmth, my touch, my heart. I can give you memories that last a lifetime, a life that we can grow together, friends that are both ours, quiet time with the puppies, dinners, and other times together. No words can tell you how much i care about you. But this is a start.

Love your chico,

Derek

Thoughts

Thinking of you, wherever you are,

We pray for our sorrows to end,
and hope that our hearts will blend.
Now I will step forward to realise this wish.

And who knows:
starting a new journey may not be so hard
or maybe it has already begun.

There are many worlds,
but they share the same sky-
one sky, one destiny.

Waiting....

Why does it always feel like something you want you must always wait for it. When you want things to go your way, but yet you have no control over it. You Count down the months which in turn become days, to hours than minutes. But to you it seems like Years away. Yes years. I feel excited but also sad at the same time. Happy to start a new chapter in my life that i hope will become my life until i die. But yet the sadness... Sad about leaving a wonderful city that is filled with Friends, Family, wonderful memories, hard times, happiness, first things, and jobs. I need this change... I no longer want to be lonely. I want to grow old. I need "Special Times" with him. I want to be there for my hubby, start a life with him. Met new friends in Seattle and continue the ones that are there. I was to play rugby there again with the Quake. Get a new job and hope to benefit as growing as a person. I also want to keep all of my friends in Portland. They mean the World to me. If i could, i would pack all of them with me and take care of all of you. I am scared not knowing what Seattle has in store for me, but all i can do is go into it with positive energy and thought. So in closing i will leave you with something on your mind....

If you had to choose a new life....Would you?

San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

Well it is official!

My life is complete. Well one more level complete! I am here in San Diego. The birthplace of John. It is going great. I get to see all the places where John had his first School, Job, Love, Lived, Things he loved there. Looking at his childhood is a bit like mine. He grew up around Latino Culture. Lots of Mexican food, music, latino Men.
John has asked me to move in with him. We have been dating for one year. I am excited about this huge life change. I will be saying good bye to friends in Portland, but also making new ones as well. I plan to play on the Rugby team up in Seattle. To expand not only my friends but john's as well. We have also started the adoption process. This is a bit scary, and yet i am ready to become a father. I plan to move sometime in December. I will miss my love ones here. But until than i will enjoy my life here in PDX. If you are a blogger in PDX and want to meet, let me know! Other than that. San Diego was Fantastic!! There is a major different's in not only culture, but styles and looks in San Diego. Everyone one in San Diego looks really fit. Even the 80 old's have a great body. Everyone is tan, Either lives high up in the hills, or life on their boat/yacht. Lots of Latino and White people there. Many of the citizens of San Diego either live or work in Mexico. Overall I really enjoyed going to San Diego. I have lots of pictures from the San Diego Zoo. I believe that is the best Zoo!!!

One year strong...

Just think back. One year ago i met the sweetest man on our first date. We chatted on gay.com for a few months until finally we arranged to meet. We met at Pioneer Courthouse square and went to dinner at Maya's Aztecan for mexican food. Than went to Jamieson Square, where we kissed and saw one of my student's and his mother there. After all the things we have been one, trips, family times, rugby, scuba diving, Schnauzer cuddling, cruises, fights, almost break ups, making up, holidays, birthdays, and each other. I am so glad that we are together. I would not change anything about our pasts. What we have been through has made us stronger and will continue to make us. All the support we have for each other and our love. I love john with all my soul, my heart, my body, my mind. He is the one i think about all the time. The one i love to be with. I see myself growing with him. Having children with, Family vacations, coming home to, making dinner for, dancing with, spend time with friends, biking with, flying with, building a home with. I see no longer my boyfriend, but my partner/my best friend/confidant/my soul mate/companion

and hopefully in the years to come.....

My Husband.

Australia... Not the movie but the country.. OMG it has been a dream of mine to go there. Well not because of the animals, but movies like Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, Muriel's wedding, Babe, Crocodile Dundee, Moulin Rouge and that the Aussie go crazy for Abba! Many musical groups from Australia include AC/DC, INXS, Men at Work, The Bee Gee's, Olivia Newton-John and Kylie Mingoue.

So many great musicians came from there. Plus RUGBY!!!! The hottest players come from Australia... hint hint john i want to go to a rugby game there. I can not wait and am planning fun times! I leave you with hot aussie rugby players!

80% Compatible

♥ John and derek have been romantically-together for awhile now, indicating a degree of compatibility. The age difference may create some difficulties in terms of compatibility. However, the religious faith they share may help to form a bond. Both are brainy, and that is a good thing. Their astrological signs are in harmony, which is a plus. They share a favorite season, and that is good. Their common love of animals is another good thing. And their views on children are similar. The fact that John is dominant, while derek is submissive will help make a relationship work harmoniously. Overall, John and derek are quite compatible. There are a few rough spots, but nothing that cannot be overcome. ♥

Meet the parents

Pat is on the left and dennis is on the right

This week i got to met John's wonderful parents. They are in their mid 70's, great hosts, caring about their family, loving, open to new people. And they can drink.

On friday the second, my heart was racing, my hand were sweating, my best clothes on. I as was meeting the boyfriend's parents for the first time. As we drove up to the house in which they lived, all the houses look the same. The live in a really nice two story home, with their dog. We were the last to arrive due to me getting ready late. I was a bit overwhelmed with meeting all the rest of the family at once. I met john's sisters, his brother in law, nieces and nephew. My first thought is when i met everyone was that i was too young of john and that they would not approve of me. Well as it turns out, they were really happy that john has found someone that makes him happy, and from what his mother told me about john's blogs from our vacation. He sounds so relaxed, calm, happy. At least i'm doing something right. Well we didnt really have a dinner, it was finger food and lots of wine for me. I kept telling john if his mother was drunk, and kept giving john looks of that i wanted him. We all talked about traveling, favorite tv shows, i.e Amazing race, trivia shows, things we like to do. Than i spent a pretty good chunk of time chatting with his father about rugby, and the difference between American football. Overall my boyfriend parents are wonderful social people that are involved in many actives in their life's as well as their family. When the night had ended john took me home and i said my good bye to all and hope that i will see them again. His parents both hugged me and told me they hope to see me again. Well now that i got that under my belt, it's time i need to plan my wooing them.
