Thank you....

I'm not a father, a grandpa or a family man. Some might say I'm not that much patriotic. As in owning an American flag. Getting excited when the fourth of July comes around. Wearing t shirts with "I'm patriotic or I love America." Those things are just to downgrading to me. Why should i express my how american I am. I think it's only an American thing to do.

But I do honor the men and women in the armed forces. The ones that are giving their lives to allow myself to have freedom. Today I am honoring my grand father Leroy Francis Ward. Father, Husband, Grandfather, Great-grandfather. And a war hero. My grandfather would tell me stories about servicing time in the war. How he shot a man and was shot. His stories live through me and my brothers. He was like a father to me. A good soul with a great big heart! He is missed.

So remember those in the past, the present and soon to be future. All the ones that have gave up their lives so we can live free.

Influence ...

When you see this man, what is the first time that comes to mind. Some might say Uncle Arthur from Bewitched. Other would says Harry McAfee in Bye Bye Birdie. I say Icon! A man that loved to use Double entedre such as ....

Q: What is said to be wasted on the young?
Lynde: A whipping.
Q: Paul, what profession is the most common for prostitutes after they retire?
Lynde: Smuggling.

Mr. Lynde was a gay man. Best know as Uncle Arthur on Bewitched. He was in a relationship with his partner James "Bing" Davidson. Both were drinking heavily in their San Francisco hotel Sir Francis Drake Hotel. Where Bing fell out of the window eight stories and died at the age of 24. Than on Jan. 10, 1982, Lynde dies of a heart attack in his home in Beverly Hills.

The reason I am blogging about Mr. Lynde is that as a queer boy he was the first role model as a gay man I got. Watching him "Pop" in and out on Bewitched and just the way he talked. I would walk around the house waving my hands like his character Uncle Arthur. Without Mr. Lynde I would not be a flaming Queer!

News Travels fast...

One fellow classmate died yesterday night. In a car crash. He was driving too fast. Here is the police report.

Two people are dead and a 23-month-old girl is being treated at Bay Area Hospital this morning after a car struck a tree Wednesday night near Mingus Park in Coos Bay.

At about 10 p.m., Coos Bay police officers responded to multiple reports of a single-vehicle crash on North 10th Street near the park’s pool. Officers found a mangled black Mercedes resting on its left side against a tree and partially down an embankment. The driver, 24-year-old Brandon J. Murray of Reedsport, was dead on arrival. Front passenger, Shayohn J. Botts of North Bend, 20, had been partially ejected from the car’s moon roof and was rushed to Bay Area Hospital in critical condition. She died at the hospital. The toddler, Keianna J. Lea, who also went to the hospital, was listed in good condition this morning, a hospital spokesman said.

According to a Coos Bay Police Department press release, several witnesses saw Murray’s vehicle speeding down North 10th Street just before the crash.

I knew of Brandon. He was a classmate. Not really a person I wanted to be friends with in high school. He was very strange and not everyone liked him. He always tried being something he was not. Tried to be with the "Popular" kids and even they made fun of him. He was a white guy trying to be a black guy. ( Well every red neck hick in North Bend/Coos Bay was trying to be that) I guess where I am going with this is that.. Life can be taking from you at any moment! Life for today as tomorrow you can die!

Dance

Today I felt unstoppable.

I auditioned for a 2010 Coca Cola Commercial competition with the great dancer Bobby Bonsey. I really hope i get it. The choreography was very tough but fun. I did struggle with it but as did it with each other I felt confident, but not so much when i had to do it myself. I did make it up and I put all my emotion into my one minute choreography. I did it to Nirvana's version of David Bowie's The Man Who Sold The World. Twists and turns. Lots of staccato movements. Crisp and clean lines. I was not afraid to move my body. I know that I did a great job and did it my all. Wish me Luck!

How you move me.....

We passed upon the stair, we spoke in was and when
Although I wasn't there, he said I was his friend
Which came as a surprise, I spoke into his eyes
I thought you died alone, a long long time ago

Oh no, not me
We never lost control
You're face to face
With The Man Who Sold The World

I laughed and shook his hand, and made my way back home
I searched for a foreign land, for years and years I roamed
I gazed a gazeless stare, we walked a million hills
I must have died alone, a long long time ago

Who knows? Not me
I never lost control
You're face to face
With the Man who Sold the World

Who knows? not me
We never lost control
You're face to face
With the Man who Sold the World

If she could talk....

This is what she would say......

Know when your messy.

Last night. Oh last night my sister came up from Corvallis to hang out with me and some of her friends. She "Pre gamed before she came up. Which means she was drinking before we met up. We meet up at CC Slaughters which is a gay dance club bar. I know everyone that works there so it was good to see people i knew. We had a blast at CC's. Dancing, easy drinking, fun. We than headed off to Silverado to watch the Male Strippers and have more fun. I wasn't drinking as much as I normally would. My sister I cut her off from drinking. She didn't listen. She kept drinking. She got to the point of Messy Drunk. Messy as in wanting to kiss everyone, drink more, falling down, not knowing up from down. I yelled a her telling her to stop. I took about three maybe four drinks from her last night. She was getting very secretive wise on moving around Silver's. It was at the point there she looked at me and told me she need to threw up.

I rushed her into the toilet which she did her thing. Than she fell over twice and the bar tender was asking us to leave. I told him I need water fore her before we left, Thankfully he gave us some. It helped but not as much. Walking her back to her friend who was DD. He was angry that she was so drunk. And I was angry that she got this way after how much I told her not to drink and tried to not let her get that way. But while walking back she threw up 5 more times. Didn't drink the water I tried to let her get down. She would put the water in her mouth than spit it out. It was like she was my baby and I was playing mama! More than I do with m friends already.

This morning she asked me what happened. I told her everything. She was embarrassed and told me she will not get like that in the near future. She was thankful that I was there to help her. When I use to get that way, I knew when my limit was. I'm glad she made it home and is up! What a weekend!

How...

Is it that if you take a mini vacation, you miss the one person that makes you feel....?
